That's the reason I wanted to appear on the Grammys with him when I was asked, despite all the nonsense talked about his being homophobic and crap like that. Yep, and the whole text is great.

"Eminem is a true poet of his time, someone we'll be talking about for decades to come. He tells stories in such a powerful and distinctive way. As a lyricist, he's one of the best ever."

"Eminem has the balls to say what he feels and to make offensive things funny. That's very necessary today in America, with people being muzzled and irony becoming a lost art."

I agree 100%.

I got this magazine today and read it. Here's everything he says about Em.

"I love him. I don't see much of Marshall, but we speak a lot. He's really worked very hard at sobriety, and it's changed him so much. I just saw a picture of him in a magazine, and he looks like a 17-year-old boy. I'm so happy for him.

We have such a laugh. We call each other cunts. I ask him how he's doing and tell him how proud I am of him. He's got a great sense of humor. When David and I had our civil partnership, he sent us a present. In a case, on velvet cushions, were two diamond cock rings. So there's a homophobe for you. (laughs)"

Maybe the "mean cock-sucker" line in CWB was some sort of warped shout out?

Yup, Elton actually 'gets' it, unlike a lot of other artists.
