Oh No vs. Relapse

Postby Master Chief » Feb 10th, '11, 23:33

What songs on Relapse is Oh No better than? This song to me is easily better than about 50% of the album. Let's see...

Oh No > 3 AM (barely)
Oh No > My Mom
Oh No > Insane
Oh No = Bagpipes From Baghdad
Oh No = Hello
Oh No > Same Song & Dance
Oh No >>>>>> We Made You
Oh No < Medicine Ball
Oh No < Stay Wide Awake
Oh No > Old Time's Sake
Oh No < Must Be The Ganja
Oh No < Deja Vu
Oh No < Beautiful
Oh No > Crack A Bottle
Oh No < Underground

Opinions?

if you really think that "Oh No" is better than "My Mom" then something is definitely wrong with you. "My Mom" is easily the second best song on Relapse, if not the first in a tight race with "Stay Wide Awake". but yeah, "Oh No" has everything else covered. it's a good song

My Mom has the most annoying accent on the whole album.

It's a good song and should have either been on Relapse or Refill but it's too soon to be comparing it ot other songs that we've known for years

Oh No is better than We made You, Crack a bottle, medicine ball, must be the ganja

But I think that overall it is mainly on a par with a lot of songs, it would have fit in with no problems.

Another point is that if it had replaced must be the ganja and we had got that today instead, we might be saying the same thing about that song. Being new is in Oh No's favour.

My Mom has the most annoying accent on the whole album.

Maybe in the chorus, but that's it lol. The verses are pretty close to his actual voice if you listen. The most annoying accent on the album is Bagpipes or Hello.

Anyways,

Oh No < 3 AM
Oh No < My Mom
Oh No = Insane
Oh No = Bagpipes From Baghdad
Oh No = Hello
Oh No < Same Song & Dance
Oh No > We Made You
Oh No > Medicine Ball
Oh No < Stay Wide Awake
Oh No < Old Time's Sake
Oh No = Must Be The Ganja
Oh No < Deja Vu
Oh No < Beautiful
Oh No > Crack A Bottle
Oh No < Underground

The song was not finished Miller. No Eminem song has no hook and has nothing but beat between chorus. You don't like the version I linked?

If I was in charge, it wouldn't make the album. How anyone can say it is better than tracks such as 3 a.m. and Insane is beyond me.

It's the combo of mild accent + normal voice that sounds annoying to me on the verses, the chorus blows cock too. But, I like My Mom anyways. The bridge is boss.

Insane is boring and retarded & I said barely to 3 AM since I love it. But, Oh No is just really good. It's actually a song with a decent subject matter (if you pay attention to the lyrics).

Oh No's subject matter > A lot of the Relapse tracks' subject matter

It's not better than every Relapse track, no, but it should have replaced one of the shitty songs, like Crack A Bottle (or Hello, for me, I know a lot of you like it but I don't). The only thing is, the song actually doesn't have anything to do with killing, it's just that wacky storytelling that Em does
