Best comment ever, shawshank for the win in everything ever, this movie is just
Besides the fact I feel the OP is trollin
8 Mile was a great film, well scripted, well acted by em as a debut and the supporting cast was great, it was epic in the "Rocky" sense, and great for being a film people could relate to in their lives (being poor, struggles, bad home life, friends and enemies, fake friends, underdog concept, etc.). If you say best movie ever that dealt with the theme of music, maybe, but I haven't seen enough to compare; so in terms of movies regarding rap, hell yeah.
But it is the greatest movie of all time, I mean in theory, by big em fans. I'm one obviously lol, and for him to make a movie so much about him, yet not really, to create a character and become him, to show us more what it was like, and to do something set in '95 at the time when mainstream hip-hop was really blowing up, just added to it's greatness. The fact it was backed by a strong em year and TES, as well as Lose Yourself, arguable one of the greatest and most successful "pop" songs (I did the "pop" cause it was popular, every knew it, bumped it, and everyone nowadays knows it, it's become part of popular culture). It'll always be in my top 3, but top 3 because it's em, tho shawshank is still the best ever and I feel it can never be topped
