Oh and about the song flopping... Forgot About Dre peaked at #25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and it is one of the best and most well known Dre songs, as well as one of Eminem's best ones.
An undeniable classic.

Seriously, fuck the charts.

^ This, people put too much fucking attention on chart position. On the Hot 100 charts, The Real Slim Shady went to #4, Stan went to #51. Just as an example. Stan, one of his most known, most crafted and most original songs, vs. Real Slim Shady which he literally wrote by piecing random lines together and made like a day before the deadline.

I'm not saying RSS isn't a good song btw, just an example that shows you can't just rely on the charts to tell you what is neccessarily "good"

The charts are a measure of how popular a song is. We all made up our minds on the song before it got released, and now we're discussing its success in the mainstream. Brilliant songs can perform badly in the charts if they're not promoted. We saw it ourselves, with I Need a Doctor going into free-fall on the iTunes chart, only for it to shoot all the way back to #2 after it was performed on TV.
