My herculean reign is the pure essence of power A king in the game leave the peasants devoured Then your fame reaches from seconds to hours And soon everything underneath the heavens is ours In the presence of cowards hand out a lethal blow So that when you grab the mic all the people know That in rap there is only one king in one land And you'll make sure that none sing and none stand I'm done playin; I'm ready to take command I'm sick of all the clowns in rap, I'll make a stand I'd do anything; I'll even shake the hand Of the devil if it means that I can save this land I'll wake as planned to come and reduce ya plays When I'm on the beat to rock you like medusa's gaze You never knew a Mays who had passion for rap The fame may be annoying but I'm asking for that
(Chorus) Fuck praying to the gods I only bow to the beat Cause it's the music that makes the sound so discreet When you get in the zone and you pounce then you eat So beware if you ever fuck around with the beast
My auras all mighty so you're struck at a glance But when I'm inside the beat it's like I'm stuck in a trance I play my own hand and leave nothin to chance So I need to fight back if I will fuckin advance Enough of the dance, I'm making the perfect piece But all this disregard is wakin the lurking beast, The future of rap is in a state of emergency It needs a savior and it is blatant with urgency I take hate undeservedly but I try to forget it I'll silence the critics once the violence has hit us In this battle of life to triumph again its Essential that everyone bring out the lions within us My music's for the kids who's been soaked in tears For the terror of the flow that's been provokin fears "Well fuck this white boy, I miss the golden years" Well fuck your golden years, King Midas has spoken here
Just read the lyrics, one of your best written pieces for sure. I'll feed the song once I hear it in a bit but damn is that hook nice.

Pretty good but I have the same complaints you do so I won't go on, lol. Lyrics = good but flow/delivery ruined it for me; seemed to slow and forced at some points.

This would be much nicer if you re-record it and edit the lyrics a bit, cause it seems like you didn't know how to flow your lines to this beat because I know your ass didn't write this to the beat except maybe the hook so I figured I take a shot at editing it for you, this is how I would of did it.

"I play my own hand I dont leave it to chance" that stood out...a few good lines here n there...IMO people need to stop rappin about demons and "the beast" i mean it's like hearing about money...It's always said..and will never sound cooler than it is.
with that said..i can tell you need to brush up on your delivery, you force everything out when you try to rap...I can tell your structured well. but you need more recording experience.
I actually thought your delivery was pretty solid, cause your voice is pretty deep and sounds good on tracks like this and on this beat. I'd just focus first on trying to put more into parts of the song that have lyrics that should be expressed with more energy, and go from there.
I agree with xray regarding the flow, I was even thinking of doing what he did, though rewriting lyrics doesn't fully explain it I think you'd need to hear it, but I liked what xray did. It was very obvious at spots where you paused cause they sounded like you just paused and it wasn't planned, it might have to do with practicing before you even go to record and writing to the beat obviously prior.
Your lyrics were good, you had some very good lines, some that really stood out, the one vettori mentioned was one of them. I really liked the "rock you" like medusa's gaze, that was a dope metaphor, not corny, well used and very creative use of words how you did it as well. Obviously rhymes were dope, multi's were solid throughout.
The hook was decent, I hate hooks, especially doing them like you have to cause I have the same shit, minimal quality and I'm not very knowledgable about mixing. The flow problem was on this on I think maybe the 2nd and third line, but again it wasn't a bad hook.
Overall I enjoyed it, just keep working on some things, you'll only get better with time and experience and the skill is there so your potential is big homie
