Well not everyone. I just meant most of them will be mad, just like most Eminem fans would be if someone passed him right now. I know some MJ twitter fanpages that are asking their followers to like his fb page so Em doesn't pass him, and I know stans would do the same thing lol.

TBH, I wouldn't mind if Em didn't take the number 1 spot. He's second behind a worldwide music icon whose had a professional career for 40+ years. Being second to that says a lot.

I do think Michael Jackson is pretty awesome and everything, but I do think the media got a lot of people to like him. Like after the pedo thing, at first the media were making out that he was guilty (because that's the most shocking story, and makes them the most money). The gullible public started to believe it. Then when he was declared innocent, the media saw it as an opportunity to make even more money, if they could cause a massive turn-around in public opinion. Saying good things about Michael Jackon was still controversial for a few months after, but it was beginning to get acceptable. Ultimately, it'd sell more newspapers.

Michael Jackson is pretty awesome though. I don't think his fans would be too angry about Em passing him. I think Lady Gaga fans are more anti-Eminem than Michael Jackson fans are.

I'm not surprised that Michael Jackson is number one. He is one of the greatest entertainers of all time. He has more world wide appeal then Em and has the top selling album of all time. People can do controversial things that are viewed negatively but more often than not it only makes the person more popular.
