The same way Em has ruined a couple of songs for the rest of the group, coming in with a verse that just doesn't fit.

Going Crazy is decent thought, NOTHING on fight music.

The guys all come nice.

justbb09 wrote:i agree with you 100%. the only reason that people listen to D12 is bc Em is in the group. without him they would not be anything. I always wondered how different Em's career would have been if Bugz didnt die.

So Em blows up after the release of the SSLP, Dre tells Em concentrate on urself first before u fully bring D12 to the mainstream. he releases the MMLP with a ft by BIzzare and a song with D12, no harm there. now here is where things could have been REALLY different. If Bugz isnt dead Em is not in D12 so I feel there is a whole nother album inbetween MMLP and TES. think about it. Im sure Em had alot of versus stashed away that he didnt use for MMLP and stuff that he was writing after the release of the album. Alot of work went into Devi's Night, and the lryics, content, flow and witty humor that is loved in MMLP is in Devils Night. Em's verses are so sick.

So im guesses a whole LP worth of time, effot and songs was but into Devil's Night instead of a new Em album. Devils Night for me is the last time we ever see that truly witty, crazy, shocking, and controversial em.

Obv we dont actaully know what would of happen but its something I have always wondered. Any thought?

I gotta agree with you here, especially about Devils Night being the last time we see the witty, crazy, shocking Eminem aka Slim Shady. This was pretty much the end of the original Slim Shady, he changed his style up heavily after that. That's why I call 97-01 his prime years.

Definitely not. End of that style then maybe but, he remained witty as fuck until like 03.

His Cheers verses for example are insane.

You don't think you're leavin' this house in that, do you?

He did remain witty after that yes, but in a different way then he was during his Slim Shady days. Those lines you quoted are similar to Superman more than Still Don't Give A Fuck or Kill You. He was still great in 02-03, but his very prime (IMO) was 97-01. Guess i'm just a bigger fan of murder, rape & drugs than deep personal issues. :shifty:

Yeah but so am I. Those lines are not 'deep personal issues' lmao.

They're totally psycho-esque. They're spiteful, hateful. That's vintage.

It's bizarro world, weirdo, possessiveness. True Shady. Slim Shady is a mindset not a style... "Still Don't Give a Fuck" and "Kill You" for example are nothing alike either.

When has Em ever ruined a D12 song... ?

They all (bar Bizi) went better over the Hit me with your best shot beat. Em came in shouting and yelling like someone had pissed in his lunch.

And off the top of my head. 40oz. His verse on that is embarrassing. Yet again, so is Bizi's. But to be honest, at least it's forgettable rather than plain irritating.

The deep personal issues wasn't regarding those lines particularly just what most of his songs during that period were about, as a reason why I prefer 97-01 to those years.

However you do have a point that those lines are Shady like
The style is that voice he raps with and his delivery during that time period, the mindset is what he's in when writing & recording those verses. So they go hand in hand and it's really the same thing.
Still Don't Give A Fuck & Kill You are both prime examples of Shady songs. The witty ass backwards humor is present on both of them.

Don't diss D12. They next album gonna do 500k first week.
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.
