50 dropped a dope album, two below average albums, and one shit album. Not to mention all the drama with people he is cool with just makes him look even worse, he had an MTV show completely flop as well as movies.
!
wow, so much wrong in so little.
could you please tell me which of his albums you consider as the two below average and the album that was shit please. then we'll debate.
He was probably talking about Massacre and Before I self Destruct as being below average.
Curtis is the shit album.
I have to say I agree.
Curtis is a shit album, no one will debate that.
But Massacre is a dope album. If 50 had kept the hits that he had to give to Game (Hate it or love it, How we do, Higher, Special, and who knows maybe more), it would have been as good as Get rich or die tryin', because those were all 50 Cent songs. For example, Candyshop was the last recorded song on the album, because the original singles for How we do and Hate it or love it.
Before I self destruct is also a dope album. It amazes me how much people let sales influence their perception. When it leaked 35 days before it's release (unprecedented), the vast majority of people here and everywhere were talking about how gritty and back to basics 50 it was. It was an album for his core audience. Then as the buzz went away because of the really early leak, and because the album wasn't intended for mainstream or radio release, and sales came out, opinions changed. Just goes to show how fickle hip hop fans can be.
