I love his music (well his old shit anyway) and in his prime he was probably the closest to perfect rapper there was. He was technically the first rapper I heard, but he wasn't the one who introduced me to the genre. So yeah I didn't really grow up listening to his music to feel much of a personal attachment to him, it wasn't until I was around 15 when I thoroughly listened to him. I really don't know how many times I played the fuck out of Rock Bottom, and 8 mile though. So while his music has spoken to me a ton, I just really didn't give a shit about him past TES.

I like a bunch of other rappers more than him, who while probably aren't "better" in the technical sense I just enjoy their music more, and imo they've been more consistant over their career. He'd probably make my top ten though, but since I've been listening to a ton of different rap lately that might change.

Currently yes, he changed my entire perspective on rap music when I heard Relapse in 09. I used to listen to bullshit rap and my ipod was full of Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy, Lil Boosie, DJ Khaled and other such wack fucks. Then I heard Eminem rapping about some hilarious fucked up shit & started listening to more and more of his shit. He's also the one who inspired me to write raps seriously, introduced me to multis & from him I went on to discover other great rappers that are now in my favs (Diabolic, DZK, Necro, Tech N9ne)
He's also the reason for this kick ass forum

No. However, I really don't know who my favourite musician of all time would be... Sting, Fairuz (Arabic singer), Bob Marley, Brian Adams, and Nas are probably tied for number one in my list. It's really hard to pin-point my all time favourite music artist, I grew up on a lot of different music, it would be difficult for me to choose just one. But, if I would've made a top 10, Eminem would probably be in it.

Sting is my favourite artist. number 1 by faaar.

On the second part, i remember that the first song i memorised word for word was When I'm gone and that i loved Toy Soldiers but it was only when i downloaded Recovery that i became a fan. It hurts though, being a fan during TES era would have been epic

I have to base it on the impact the music has for me...When i first heard the MMLP it hit me like a brick...I remember Busta Ryhmes said something like when he heard the MMLP, he felt like smashing his head through the car winshield...Then the wait for The Eminem Show seemed like forever...I couldnt think of how he could top or duplicate the MMLP...It had a different impact than the MMLP, but i couldnt believe he did it again...For me no other artists have had that effect...Also the way his music, hooks u,,,like some of the songs I cant stand at first, at some time become my favorite too at the time...
