SSLP to MMLP, TES to ENCORE and Relapse to Recovery

Postby SgtPepper » Mar 6th, '11, 00:33

This new year feels like the start of a new phase, the start of a new eminem BUT, with the end of recovery, it seems theres more to come, a final chapter, if you will.

MMLP seems like a darker and more twisted step up from SSLP on first listen, with TES standing out as an individual artistic landmark, then the whole relapse/relapse2/recovery era

Eminem must feel its time to move on and set a final double album set.

He began - SSLP
He evolved - MMLP
He matured artisticly - TES#
where do you go after youve reached the peak? down. - Encore
Trying to find his roots again and mixing it up (Step 1 in recovering) - Relapse
Proving to himself and everyone - Recovery

Where The Eminem Show left off - 2011+

does this seem like a fair post?

I just want a new Eminem album in 2011, but it probably won't happen.

It's almost been 1 year since Not Afraid debuted (April 2010), and it's now March 2011 and we're still waiting on the official release of Space Bound as the 4th single, and music vid, to close the Recovery era.

He will never do a album like TES...

TES is the best hip hop album of all time , so I don't think he will do a album great as TES.

Just saw this comment on an Eminem YouTube video;

"I used to hate this dude growing up, but I can't help but to have gradually developed a deep appreciation for him, his music, and his message. I think Eminem is better than he has ever been, and I hope he stays clean."

A LOT of people feel like that, and I don't blame them.

Current Eminem >>>>>>>>

I feel the same. Except musically & lyrically, Em has taken a few steps back. On purpose? I'm not sure anymore...

However, as a person Em has matured for the better. I've been a fan for a long time. Yet, whenever Em used to TV/Magazine interviews or anything to do with the press. I hated his demeanor, he just came across as some arrogant dick (Like Kanye).

Menzo wrote:Nah, I really love where he is currently at right now. Would I prefer more syllable compacted album like Relapse? Yes, definitely.

However, his messages in the song(s) are conveyed very well. Once his punchline fetish ends, he'll move on. I'm really excited for the next album because he's gonna have to be REALLY creative.

TES is the greatest album of all time? Well, there is a lot of time in 'all time' so let us not get too conclusive, yet.

If you mean me ... well first of all , I said (Greatest hip hop album of all time).
Name me 5 hip hop albums that is better...
Maybe All eyez on me , ready to die and some more... But TES is still better...

And fuck it... TES is the best album of all time :D

He's next album gonna be a bomb when it comes out in 2012
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

I'm still hoping his next album will take all of the best parts of recent Em, combine them, and leave out the shit stuff. Would be a classic, but that's probably never going to happen.

He's gonna drop it a day before the expected end of the world day (I think it's the 21st, so he's dropping it the 20th) just so he can end his career and the WORLD on the highest note ever.

I got to wait over a YEAR for the next album? :( Is this official? If not it sounds like a good plan. Slim Shady ending the world.

Drop the bomb on em
Please don't drop the bomb on me. Shady please, please don't drop the bomb on me.

His first three albums weren't that good because he got lucky, but because he's TALENTED.

He just needs to channel that talent towards bigger and better things.

The eminem show is not the best hip hop album of all time, its not even as good as the slim shady lp and marshall mathers lp. Illmatic, Reasonable Doubt and The Infamous to name a few are all better albums :coffee:
