Not Afraid is one of those Whole-Other-Level Eminem songs for me aswell. I'm not sure if it's just me but it's so.... perfect.

I was on the edge with that. it's great, but it's just not enough for me. It doesn't really reference any specific occurences in his life or have a desperate feel to it. IDK, refer to Embase's post, he describes my criteria perfectly.

People not giving him the props he deserves/being jealous of him/doubting him and explaning his intergrity to his music. I don't know if those counts as occurences :sweating:

Brain Damage is one of his whole other level songs. There's not another person on the entire planet who would have a snowballs chance in hell in writing that song.

Same with the vast majority of his songs, that's why he's Eminem. It's not a "whole other level" as far as rap songs, it's as far as Eminem songs.

What?

The song is one of his best of all-time. It's better than Stimulate, The Way I Am, White America, and Cleaning Out My Closet, just from looking at your list. LOL, and you said Criminal was just him screwing around? THE POINT of the entire MMLP is in that song. "Half the shit I say, I just make it up, to make you mad"...And people hilariously still missed the point and thought he was just trying to be controversial.

Adding to the List:
25 to Life
Deja Vu
8 Mile - Would probably be the first song I put on that list or Sing For the Moment lol
Till I Collapse (I don't give a shit what anyone says but this song is one of the greatest workout/pump up songs ever to be made and this simply is why it deserves to be noted as perfect)

My edits on your list
Rock Bottom > Stimulate
Superman > Cleaning Out My Closet
White America - Taking this out because there are better songs Em's done

Guilty Conscience is very close to being in this list but I'm skeptical

I'm a little woozy right now but that's my 2cents lol

Everyone has a different opinion man, some dude thinks No Love deserves to be on this list and another thinks Not Afraid and I laughed when I saw those, and I Brain Damage is a great song but don't think it could compare to The Way I Am

^his rapping is crazy on no love, and im not just saying that cuz he raps fast. and the beat is very creative. maybe lil wayne ruins it as a song, but in my opinion, em's verse on no love is on a "whole other level"

Not even, another level would be something like on Sing For the Moment; the shit he says there just hits you with the reaction of mind=fuckin blown to bits, you keep listening to it and it's untouchable

No Love verse was great no doubt (I think Waynes verse was on par with Em's or pretty close) but not deserving of whole other level
