I bought Jon Connor's tape a week ago. Apart from a few boring songs this is a really serious appetizer for his upcoming album so I urge everyone to check it out.
Nas wasn't kidding when he co-signed him.

These clowns like Yelawolf are just proof that Eminem has never had a bearing on what-the-fuck he's doing with his label. I mean, genius Prime-Eminem co-signed 50 Cent...the shit is just random.
soon after EM cosigned 50, we got the undeniable classic called Get Rich or Die Trying
...just saying
Says you. GRODT was not a classic...I don't get why people even say that. Having a good Dre beat In Da Club doesn't mask the fact the 50 Cent is fucking awful rapper. Same with the Many Men beat. His verses on Patiently Waiting are embarrassing, Eminem was barely even trying and he absolutely murdered him.
Amadeo wrote:GRODT is regarded highly because of the great Dre beats and a few catchy choruses. Nothing 50 Cent did on that album was any good.Evan C. wrote:Yeah, I am. What is appealing to you about some fucking baboon rapping incoherent gangstah-babble? Honestly?

Are you fascinated 50 Cent's insights into everyday life and witty humor yo? His detailed attention to language and perfectionism? Oh wait, no, he's just a dumb ape who was signed by Eminem/Dr. Dre, the ghostwriting/beat-making dream team.
MikeBett wrote:GRODT is a classic....If every album that had Dre beats was a classic...there'd be alot more classics out there..50 Picked the BEST dre beats and made classic songs out of them...Period
Evan C obviously has a racial intolerance issue he needs to address with himself ha..
I got scriptures in my brain I could spit at yo dame
Straight out the good book, look, niggas is shook
Cause I'll break yo face
Have yo ass runnin, mumblin to the jake
You goin ‘gainst me dog, you makin a mistake, I'll split ya
Leave ya lookin like the Michael Jackson jackets wit all them zippers
I'm the boss on this boat, you can call me skipper
The way I turn the money over, you should call me flipper

Ha...
Has nothing to do with 50 Cent's race. It's actually what he looks/acts/behaves like...I mean, seriously. People worship Patiently Waiting and it's like they've never even listened to 50 Cent's actual verses.
And we're giving 50 Cent credit for picking the best Dre beats (circa-ten years ago)? Like that's hard, lol? Would we give Dre credit for picking the best ghost-written Eminem verses to rap in 1999?
Master Chief wrote:Yeah, the flipper and skipper lines are stupid. So what?
Evan C. wrote:If you literally facepalm from lines in a supposedly "classic song" from a supposedly "classic album", the album probably isn't a "classic". An album that carries that lofty a title probably shouldn't have lines that rip you completely out of the moment when listening, and make you realize what an idiot the guy who wrote it is.

No that comparison was borderline racist and you know that, you might as well have called him a n.igger.

This analogy is so fucking shit it's not even worth responding to, but I do agree with you on the grand scheme of things that GRODT is overrated and nowhere near a classic.
