My Mom and Insane are lyrically reminiscent of the 1999-2002 Em.

"The water that I drank, fucking peas on my plate
She sprinkled just enough of it to season my steak
So everyday I have at least three stomach aches
Now tell me, what kind of mother would wanna see her
Son grow up to be an under a undera-fuckin'-chiever?
My teacher didn't think I was gonna be nothin' either
'What the fuck you sticking gum up under the fucking seat for?
Mrs. Mathers your son has been huffin' ether,
Either that or the mother fuckers been puffing reefer'"

"I was born with a dick in my brain, yeah fucked in the head
My stepfather said that I sucked in the bed
Till one night he snuck in and said
'We're going out back, I want my dick sucked in the shed'
'But can't we just play with Teddy Ruxpin instead?'
'After I fuck you in the butt, get some head, bust a nut, get some rest
The next day my mother said "I don't know what the fuck's up with this kid!
The bastard won't even eat nothing he's fed
He just hung himself in the bedroom he's dead"
"Debbie don't let that fucker get you upset
Go in there, stick a fuckin' cigarette to his neck
I bet you he's fakin' it, I bet you, I bet he probably just wants to see how upset you would get
I'll go handle this of course, unless you object"
"Ah go fuck his brains out, if any's left in his head"

"She showed me a movie like "Nightmare on Elm Street"
But it was X, and they called it "Pubic Hair on Chelsea"
"Well this is called ass rape, and we're shooting the jail scene"

You Relapse haters had to bitch to the point he changed his whole damn flow up for Recovery :spank:

No seriously though, it's not that this is lyrically superior to the shit on Recovery, it's just that the rhymes are easier to catch, being at the end of the bars....structured perfectly.
"This dude doing this interview wants me to spin a few,
Lyrics while I tie my tennis shoes in the nude
A romantic interlude in a livin’ room,
In an inner tube with a dude with a bit of lube
Fuck that I’m sniffin’ glue, sippin' gin & juice,
And a little bit of paint thinner with my dinner too,
You better pay me for my bars like your rent is due,
Now hurry up and finish dude before I finish you."

Implying that a man who once said "dropping each March with a brand new CD for these fucking retards" has now become so touchy that he changes the entire theme of an album just based on what said retards say?

Stay Wide Awake and Same Song & Dance > Recovery + all leaks
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

It's the opposite for me, I can barely listen to relapse. Even the best songs have no replay value for me

3AM, Hello and Crack a Bottle are worse than almost anything from Recovery or post-recovery

Considering I have a nice subwoofer and speaker system in my car, relapse has been my favorite for years. Haha 3am brings some mch needed energy and deja vu really thumps :)

I love Relapse and I know its a more lyrical album but I like and enjoy Recovery far more.
