Well you just said the solution in your own post, lol. Just listen to them and make your own mind up.

^ Devlin is the only one I've heard from your list, and he is no where near at their level. He's like what they were when they prolly started out rapping tbh. Let me guess, he makes better music because he touches subjects they don't? lol please. Judging by your attitude towards this debate, everyone from the UK should make grime music. And what's with the "white" thing? Why didn't you mention rappers like, Akala, Lowkey etc..that actually do make much more meaningful music than them, Akala not so much anymore but he used to make dope music. In terms of skill in their category, which is underground hip hop, no one can touch them.

One Mic wrote:I don't like them as they don't make music that I can listen to (or enjoy) and I hate the fact that most of the NON-UK Tr Shady users immediately think of Rhyme Asylum when thinking about UK Hip Hop / Rap.

I would be proud to think that people on here (or anywhere really) consider Rhyme Asylum an example of UK Hip Hop, but i would know they are wrong, because UK Hip Hop is overcome with too much garbage for Rhyme Asylum to be any kind of example. Most of UK Hip Hop is fucking garbage. And that's fact. I'm from the UK and even I think so. Frankly it embarrasses me.

One Mic wrote:People bang on about Posessed apparently being so dope, but I just can't see it. I can think of like 10+ white rappers from the UK that are better....OR have made better music.

K-Koke
Devlin
Skinnyman
Shifty
Benny Banks
Mike Skinner aka 'The Streets'
Plan B (old Plan B, not current)
Professor Green (old Professor Green, not current)
English Frank
Don Strapzy

Mike Skinner's good I agree but he's not really a rapper to me. Old Plan B i will agree with you there, he was also pretty awesome (although he's shit now). Pro Green's always been decent too. Haven't heard the rest of those guys. But do i think Posessed is better than the ones i've heard (and probably them?); yes.

I'm not gonna give you Posessed lines and try and point out why, it would be a waste of time. Obviously he and Rhyme Asylum don't make music you enjoy, but that said you still said you recognise their lyrical ability, so that's good enough for me.

@Satire; one of my favourites

Exactly dude. They are just unbelievably good. Every line in that song is the most original line I've ever heard. That song speaks for itself, they ARE, the next level of lyricism.

lol @ one mic saying Devlin is better than them. I seriously lol'd at that.

I'm not being an RA Stan but Rhyme Asylum are the first rappers in a very very long time that actively amazed me with nearly every line. Some I didn't even catch on my first couple of listens.

I prefer everyone on my list, to Rhyme Asylum. This is a Rhyme Asylum thread, so if you want to post songs/freestyles that you rate as their greatest, then feel free, as I will always view everything with an open mind.

These are the first rappers in a long ass time where I wish I had the lyrics sheet in front of me for every song.

Couldn't agree with Kez and Satire more. :b:

And damn, I'm starting to like Psiklone more and more. He's just as good as Possessed, maybe not on the same exact level, but tbh, with their next album, his probably even better than him. Maybe it's just me, but Psiklone stepped the fuck up on their second album.

Holy shit, at that song. THIS DUDE IS FUCKING DOPE! Damn, that's one of the realest songs I've heard in a long ass time. That beat is honestly driving me nuts, along with his vicious delivery. MORE, MORE. I need more songs like that^ That's my other type of shit, besides stuff like RA. :worship:
