Unique Story Telling

So this is my first post but I have been an Em fan since the 7th grade when my older brother let me listen to the SSLP. IMO that and the MMLP are his 2 greatest albums but that a conversation for another day.

What i want to talk about is the uniqueness of Em's storytelling. Songs like Brain Damage, As the world turns, Murder Murder and Stan are such amazing stories. the visuals that he gives to you are like none other. My question is, has there ever been a rapper in recent history that has be able to convey a story like Em used to do that was on such a mainstream/popular album?

OBV this Eminem will never return and i have come to grips with that. I can wish all i want but i know it will never happen. Im just wondering why rappers with good storytelling cant seem to make it these days in the mainstream hiphop world.

no i dont think anyone was ever able to do it as good as him although Jay Z is good in my opinion

Listen to songs like Hip Hop Saved my Life and kick Push II by Lupe Fiasco. While the story telling might not be similar it is very much on the same level as Em's
