how r u gonna know who has a direct ancestry to slaves? how much money would they get? is it gonna be in monthly checks? or just one large lump sum? how many members of a household will be eligable? wat age do u have to be to get this?

Do you really think it's a case of money? Cause it should be rather a change in the society. Racism still exists and there's no amount of money which could repair it.. Slavery? Hell yeah, it was terrible thing.. But what with American Indians? Weren't they treated in the same cruel way? White people destroyed everything they had and what's more, they aren't treated better now.. They have their reserves now only.. Lol, I should stick to the topic

Don't give them money, the goverment should just think about improving their lifes now. There are still big differences between white and black people, just look at Detroit. Friend of mine lives there and said it's not that funny in the city centre.. And what with other big cities? Thousands of black people live in poverty and no one really cares.. US goverment should invest those money in building schools and work places for them instead giving everyone $100, cause it's pointless..

what we did to the native americans (theyr not idians.. they aint from indea) was much worse...... we came from another country and took theyr land and slaughtered them by the thousands at a time... ever heard of the trail of tears? theyr r hardly ne pure blooded natives left... aqnd what little theyr r they force to live in shitty little reservations.......

slavery.... we took them from africa and brought them here and forced them to work. sure it was terrable and oppressive and cruel...... but we didnt slaughter them by the thousands.... they do not live on reservations..... and black people r all over the place..... u see hundreds of them every day...... now.... tell me...... how many native americans do u see?

I'm not saying that one of the groups [i mean african americans or native americans] is treated better or not. I'm just sayin there's not point of such reparations. Now it's too late to help them, cause no one can rewind hands of the time.. We can just try to not let it happen anymore..

Both of them suffered because of white people. Black people have been taken away from their countries and relatives, nailed down to work without any rights, settlements or even gratefulness. They were humiliated, beaten and even killed because of stupidity. That problem still exists, but it's not that big as it used to be..

Native americans (or even Aztecs, Mayas and Incas) were simply.. annihilated.. White people came and took their land, practically everything they had. They suffered because of diseases which were brought by Cortez and later by Columbus.. Eventually all of them [Mexicans] simply died.. It's sad that we as Europeans destroyed one of the greatest nations and then did almost the same in North America..
