It is not a shit album, but I think it was an album that showed shades of greatness in various songs, and on some songs showed weakness. Examples: Going Through Changes- lyrically great while still managing to be full of substance and emotion...then you have Talkin' 2 Myself- tries to be a song with emotion/substance..but the rhymes are rather weak for EM'S standards. So I feel the only problems with this album is the choppy flow at times, and inconsistency.

The content overall is much better than Relapse but I feel skillwise he took a big step. I mean with the choppy flow, rhyming, and insistence of punchlines, plus the production was all over the place and not that great compared to if him and Dre would have produced it.

Naaah, Recovery is a classic. There are 2-3-4 songs that are average, the rest is dope. We should stop dreaming about old days, they won't come back. I'm happy Em topped his last 2 albums with Recovery, he is on a damn good way. And I don't wanna immagine if his next album will even do a further step ...
