Recently resurgent Detroit rapper Eminem, birth name Marshall Mathers, has abruptly announced his retirement from hip hop at a small press conference at the A'lla'pola Hotel in Hawaii. He stressed that this is an unforeseen occurrence, and he never planned to cut his career short after releasing his critically acclaimed album Recovery.
Said Mathers:
First and foremost, I would like to apologize to my fans. I never intended to leave promises unfulfilled and questions unanswered. However, recent changes in my personal life have caused me to come to the realization that hip hop is no longer the place for me. I appreciate your respect for my family and privacy during the coming months.
