On Fire's rhyming was amateur? Going Through Changes was amateur? You're Never Over was amateur? Cold Wind Blows?

Sure there were some tracks which the rhyming wasn't very good, but to say his rhyming on Recovery was amateur, without any exceptions is false. The fourth verse on Going Through Changes is fantastic. All of the verses on On Fire are also very impressive.

Even the supposedly "sell out" LTWYL is very well written.

Maybe wrote:You can suck his dick until Dre drops Detox, but the fact of the matter is: Recovery was an embarrassment. I don't care how relevant he attempted to make it by featuring an accomplished (yet terrible) mainstream singer. His work on that album was inferior not only to his past work, but to the work of his once less talented peers. His rhyming was amateur; his rhyme-schemes, punchlines & multies were ridiculously simple; pathetically one dimensional, and just plain stupid. His flow was decent in several of the songs, but quickly destroyed by his shocking lack of simple rhyming skills. The originality his songs were once known for was shattered; the debris swept away and replaced with the cookie cutter material we've heard spoken a hundred times over.

On the subject of inferior: Relapse was terrible. The rhyming was great, sure, and so was the flow in most songs. Actually, I'd say the rhyming was thoroughly superior and definitely reflective of a veteran image. However, the content, although occasionally funny, was mostly filler material and seemed pointless.

I was an Eminem fan until I listened to Recovery. He should have just quit after TES, because the "potential" he supposedly had when people were discussing his return was a myth. The only thing Eminem has now is a fatter bank account because his obsessed; disgustingly single minded and hopeless fans will purchase anything his voice is on.
I have a feeling that if he dropped an album tomorrow that was exactly like TES, you'd find a way to complain. You're an ignorant die-hard hater. Here's an idea -- you go write an album better than Recovery, come back, post it here and we'll go ahead and decide if it's up to par.

You have a feeling, huh? I'm sorry, I didn't know you were a psychic. Also, this is my first serious post in the Eminem section in years; would you care to explain: what exactly makes me an ignorant die-hard hater? Oh wait, I know why: I'm a "hater" because I think a terrible album -- released as a pathetic excuse to sell another few million copies to a bunch of brainwashed morons -- is bad. No, retard, but I can truly see why you would think so.

You have what we call "heavy upper lip due to it being stapled to the inside of Eminems rectum" syndrome.

A 4th grade can write better songs. Don't argue with me that the album is bad, because it's clearly a thousand miles off of his personal record. If you like it, that's a whole different story. Go listen to that album while you imagine that you're the girl in his songs, but don't bash my opinion just because you're a little ass-hurt.

But no, you're right! I could never write anything better than this:

Now first of all I'm the boss
I just wanna get that across
Man even my Dentist hates when I floss
Pull up to the club in a Pinto likes it's a Porsche
Garbage bag for one of the windows
Spray-painted doors with the flames on 'em
Michigan plates and my name's on 'em

Fuck off. I don't like arguing with retards; if you disagree with me, please have at least an average adult IQ.

Couldnt agree more. But i guess thats where Recovery comes in. He had released 2 below par albums and some shockingly terrible guest feature verses in between. He was white trash and very much could have Relapsed. But frm the first day i heard it, i agree with the OP- it was a plea for a chance. This was not one to show the best he had... but the best he could give. The moments of quality (no matter how few) where awesome and more importantly, connected to a great proportion of his fanbase. Eminem had made his "comeback" (Eminembase has expanded on this for a while)

I was an Eminem fan until I listened to Recovery.

I envy you. I was an Eminem stan because of Recovery. :sweating:

At least your response was reasonable, without calling me a "Hater" for having an opinion ^. You're free to like what you wish, no? :y:

I agree with this. More than half of the people bitching that there weren't multis everywhere and all that shit couldn't make a better album than Recovery. And if you could, I'd fucking love to hear it.

Wow, way to be original with your own ideas and posts. Get over your almighty God Eminem, wipe the cum from your lips and realize that in life peoples opinions may differ from yours. The fact that you call me ignorant for having an opinion only proves that YOU'RE ignorant because you can't accept others opinions.

I hope Em comes back with a stronger album after Recovery. I agree with you though. I just hope his next album is at least lyrically close to the material from TES.

And about the punchlines? I think he needs to stop, or just ease up. They're so annoying. But I did like the batman one from Won't Back Down.

I need a stress ball because in my opinion Eminems music is garbage now? Are all Eminem fans as mentally incompetent as you? I guess that explains why people enjoy his music. My opinion must have really hurt you since you feel the need to make a snarly comment. If you like the album, good for you; a suggestion though, wipe the cum from your lips and pay closer attention in school, because you clearly have trouble comprehending basics (such as opinions, honesty, etc).

I don't care what you think, why don't you apply the same concept to my posts and go google Eminem pictures to jerk off to. Isn't that the Stan equivalent to a pillow punching fit? The only people that are angry here are the obsessed fans that can't accept negativity towards their almighty God (aka you).

@vivaldiwasasellout:

Why? Isn't it obvious? I hate that I have to explain myself, but despite Eminem being terrible now, he's still a powerhouse in the industry and has many-a-fans that are willing to pay for his trash simply because he is who he is. If it's the type of music people enjoy, that's fine, but I'm sick of being the opinion dictionary every day here. I think he sucks, if Rhianna wants to work with him (although it's clearly a publicity stunt) I'm sure in his condition before Recovery, he'd be stupid not to.

What's the matter? Are you sad because someone doesn't like being mushroom stamped by your Lord & Savior? Fuck off "Sla"; that is, unless of course you can muster an actual sentence in the English language that doesn't involve nonsensical word arrangements and abysmal arguments about how Eminem is the greatest just because you keep the tip of his cock purple.
