All these songs that are starting to get released and climbing the pop charts are not real hip hop. I don't think people realise how great is actually is. I guess most people just want a song about girls shaking their asses and shit. Sure....the songs may be catchy, but they are nothing compared to real hip hop that comes from the hood

I agree, but look.. All such songs create an image for rap.. Mostly people who aren't into rap don't care whether it's a song for groupies or underground shit. They put everything together.. Plus they don't care whether Proof died because of beef or just a street fight.. For them it's like "oh, he prolly died because he was drug dealer and had a lot of enemies"..

I said it's gone too far because I think it's not entertainment anymore.. Take a look for 50 and Game beef.. It's too serious to be just spittin verses for fun.. I'm not saying all beefs are bad, cause they make rapgame exciting and so on, but there will come a day, when someone will lose life because such shit..

/Man I hate this crap, this ain't rap,
This is crazy, the way we act
When we confuse hip-hop with real life when the music stops../

sure rap can influence people and hereby cause violence, but fame is fame. there are certain responsibilities that go with it, and upon being famous, you will be heard, and you could expect that you will influence people.
as for the death of pac, big, proof and all others, that stuff has always been around and always will be. there are fans, and there are haters
after all, a bar in 8mile isnt the most pleasant place to be at.

Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity, to seize everything you ever wanted, one moment...
Would you capture it, or just let it slip?

OMG i just heard about this news. I have been busy and off the net and i dont watch TV at all. Thats fucked.

But regardless if its a beef or something else i think its totally wrong to have someone's life endangered, regardless if he is a rapper or who ever. I think no matter how u look at it things are considered too far when someone has to lose his life for ANYTHING :'( :'( :'( :'(

Rap is no less dangerous than the street the rapper lives in. people should stop blaming shit on rap, coz thats the only reason they(50 year old rich , racist mentality people who praise todays pop) dont let rap become of high musical status, like rock and jazz.
