There's different levels of awful. Plus he was actually trying on the said songs. As terrible as Fack is, at least he wasn't actaully really trying (that's not to say Fack isn't worse, it is).

The Apple is a song that could have been good, but you can tell when Em was writing it he just got bored and lost the concept halfway through, so it didn't turn out as well as it could have.
