Em's Next Album... ?

I think will be called Reborn. Then Revamped. Then Reversed.

And, Reversed will be a Return to the Reborn style and an apology for Revamped.

Whatever it's called, I think he'll be Responsible for it.

Really though, what do you Realistically want from him next?

I want Em to produce something on his next album. At least 4 or 5 of the songs. I love his beats and I miss them. I want more storytelling, be it stories from his life or made up. I want him to go back to having Dre, 50, and D12 features. I want him to be creative and come up with something that will surprise us. I want him to bring back the humor and fun that he had in Relapse. I love Recovery but it's not a "fun" album. I just want his music to feel fun again. It doesn't have to be silly to be fun. It can jus have a fun feel to it, kinda like the feeling you get when you listen to Devil's Night. I want him to play with his voice a little more, give it some more variety. I see that coming back a little bit with the EP but I want him to expand. And I want him to rap about things that mean something to him, use real emotion so he doesn't have to force it. And that can be any emotion: happy, sad, angry, silly, etc.

I would normally agree, and probably wouldn't want that title to ever be used by him in real life. Just like I was in kind of disbelief at the possibility of him calling 'R2' just... Relapse 2. As, having a number in a title like that is just corny. As is a pun, typically.

But, just for the sake of conversation I think it's alright.

Maybe as a little concept EP or something. With songs about that period, maybe like, some storytelling songs and the odd concept... about what went on 'behind' the show.

Honestly though, I kinda want Em to retire. I mean, I read your other thread on concepts, and tbh Em isn't really making anything that's making my jaw drop. I liked The Reunion though, it was pretty aight. But yeah, for his next album (which I predict will be coming out in a year or two) better be jaw dropping, after that, he can retire.

I don't know if you listen to Tech N9ne, but he likes to put out collab albums similar to The Re-Up with guys from his label and what not. I think that would be a good move for Em after the D12 album. What do you think about that? With features from his label like D12, SH, Yela, Cashis, Banks etc?

Well he could maybe do an EP, mixtape or collab album with Slaughterhouse and Yela and call it 2.0 Boys or Shady 2.0.

As for D12 - unless they can revamp themselves then the only thing I want to hear them with Em on is the next D12 album.

And, as for Ca$his and Banks etc. - I think they're all cornballs just because they're gangsta posers and I think that brings Em's image and credibility down. Not amongst bravado morons who think MCs need to be street thugs too but, amongst serious lyricists or fans of serious lyricism at least.

And, they generally just ruin songs for me.

Where as Slaughterhouse and Yela are all true lyricists and rappers.
