I'm listening to the Eminem Show, it's like sex.

Listening to Recovery forward is like getting fucked in the ear. Shit hurtttsss.

I don't know a lot about producing, but it....it's just rough to say the least. In the head phones, in the car, it's like I'm listening to low quality. What happened? Everything used to sound so crisp. And it's not because I'm too old. I'm still younger than Em was when he first became famous.

So am I the only one who's ears bleed when I hear half the stuff he releases?

I loved Relapse. I'm OK with him using accents. Though I don't like the whole lets scream every word out my mouth style. But....I could live with it if the lyrics were better....

I'm a heavy Em fan too and while I love a lot of his recent material, he seems to yell a lot now and it hurts my ears too after awhile. I still enjoy the songs but sitting in the car for long periods of time listening to Em shout can give me a headache.

Oh and I do like some of Em's new stuff. I'm not some stuck in the past BACK IN THE SSLP DAYS kind of guy. I thought Relapse was brillant. And I enjoyed 25 to life, almost famous,the reunion, welcome to hell and a few others. But for the most part....ouch.

The main point was that it was hard to listen to because the production is bad. And it is actually hard to listen to. But mainly because a big part of rap to me is good beats. Something smooth and crisp that compliments good lyrics.
