Idea for a tournament?

Recording a verse with a camera. This way we can make this a huge tournament, people from CW that battle, and people from the Audio Section that battle could then compete against each other.

Of course, it'll be acapela.

It's basically just a normal tournament, with two people battling, and they'll have to sent in their recorded verses on time. And they'll be judged by a panel of judges.

This will add more charisma to the battles, more showmanship, 'cause in a real battle the emcee with the better verse doesn't always win, the emcee with the most enjoyable verse/most hard hitting verse wins. And this is something I feel is really lacking in TR's battle community.

I've had this idea for a while now, but I always thought that it would be quite difficult to set up, tbh. But we could try, right? And it doesn't take much to record yourself spitting a verse.

This is a pretty good idea, but also see it being difficult to set up. Well not the setting up part, the part to get people to participate. It's hard enough to set up a text tournament and judging by the past audio tournament attempts, this may be nearly impossible. I hope it does work though, it would be very interesting to say the least.

Im in full support, you might even go as far as making a TR youtube channel...i think theres alot of text rappers here on TR that dont get to display there full potential and this would give us all a shot to get out there more. bottom line is yall all get slept on and if people dont participate then there sleeping on thereselfs. i hope to see more evolve from this.

That was then, battle rapping is done differently nowadays.

Choice of beat may influence a judge, It's better to keep things at a basic level.

Yeah grindtime style is better alot of people who would take part in this probably arent good at riding beats but can still spit
