I feel kind of sad for Dre because no matter what Detox ends up being, it will be a disappointment, even if it's objectively incredible.

If it's an introspective album with joints like INAD, people will complain because it doesn't have the sound of 2001. If it's an album full of well coast shit like The Chronic, people will complain because at 40+ years Dre is still rapping about bietches and weed.

Well, at least Game's RED album is finally dropping next month. I hope that will be the West Coast album we have all been waiting.

That's what I'm hoping, and I kinda got a glimpse of that with the Die Hard beat. However, people dislike changes, so if Dre tries to do some kind of a funky mix like dubstep, techno, hip-hop, etc. they will complain.

For fuck's sake, Kush which is something that fits 2001 like a glove was just "average" according to some.

Honestly I just want Detox to be released so I can get the instrumentals. Most of the time, majority of the tracks suck and there is two or 4 tracks worth listening to. However I do feel like Detox will be his best album and best production. His past albums were "good" and by that, I mean a little bit above what I expected to hear.
