It's not horrible, in fact it has 3 of his best songs on there, it's just there aren't many great artists outside of Em or Nas that put out absolute, flat-out just bad albums, so I do believe it's the weak link in his catalog.

I feel like Joe Budden is underrated tbh. Just cause Pump It Up is there. Not saying that's you but Walk With Me, 10 Mins, Calm Down, Focus and Fire are legitimately great songs. It is the weakest album of his catalog for sure though. Key word: album. Joe Budden is better than Mood Muzik 1 and that's really it.

Production-wise that album is fantastic. Focus & Fire beats > *

I think the reason it's underrated is because of the type of artist Joe Budden evolved into, really. It's solid for a mainstream release, but when somebody is introduced to him through his recent, darker tapes like Mood Muzik 3-4, then proceed to download his discography, and find a song like Porno Star through shuffle of course they're going to be like "Da fuck n*gga?". His fans just don't look at him for that type of music. The fact that he himself shows so much disdain towards Pump It Up doesn't help either.

However, if it helps, Walk With Me & 10 Mins. are both generally viewed as amazing.

It was remastered a while ago and I've seen a higher quality version of Sing For The Moment on Youtube somewhere but I never have any luck with actually finding it.

That's what I was thinking too. The difference in sound/content between Mood Muzik 4/4.5 and Joe Budden is vast. It's like a new artist was born.

Btw, did Touch & Go sample Fire? I used to think it was the same beat up until a few weeks ago.
