Most Controversial Rap Album Of All Time

Postby Fa-Q » Jul 21st, '11, 05:32

It probably has to be Straight Outta Compton. I wasnt even alive for this album but I feel the effects of it. Every gangsta album should give thanks to that album because no one else had done what NWA did. Plus, there are 4 top 25 MCs on that album: Dr. Dre, MC Ren, Ice Cube and Eazy E....what do you think it is

Everyone in NWA was dope as hell, except Eazy-E (voice annoys the fuck outta me)

But, yeah NWA defined a whole genre of rap music. Every gangsta rapper has to pay homage to them.

The only even potential top 25 MC in NWA was Ice Cube honestly.

MC Ren is slept on....maybe not Dre but Eazy is definitely top 25....I think Dre is a legend because of his production he's put fourth

Eazy-E literally had one of the most laughably simple flows/deliveries of all time, doesn't have an impressive solo discography at all, and didn't even write his own lyrics while in the group. I'm all for giving respect to pioneers and impact, but I can definitely name 25 MC's that are indefinitely better than Eazy-E in terms of personality, discography & just pure talent. I can name MC's on this site that are better rappers than Eazy E.

MC is probably a better MC than Eazy E. Face it, he's aged like utter shit.

No, regardless of impact, I can definitely name 25 MC's that are indefinitely better than Eazy-E. I can name MC's on this site that are better rappers than Eazy E.

MC is probably a better MC than Eazy E.

I do not like the inclusion of "probably" there :'(

I haven't heard you rap so you might be one of those fags who are good at writing but are hilariously off-beat or whisper into the microphone. I may give you the benefit of the doubt though.

I can say you're definitely a better lyricist than Eazy-E but that just isn't fair because most people are.

No. Me... Master Chief. M+C = MC. As in the best rapper without a microphone in this day and age.

Straight Outta Compton was controversial at it's place but was too much focussed on the gangsta shit but mmlp was more like an insight to all who could relate to the situations reflected in the album and to say why it had more bigger impact because the average age of rap music listeners came down to 7 onwards so those nice nice words had a huge impact on them , ask me i was so into this album damn if i go to remember those days damn :worship: .
