Elzhi Vs. Eminem

Who do you think is the better MC? I'll list some songs by Elzhi cause some of you might not be familiar with him. He's been rapping since he was 8 and put out his first EP in 1997-1998 by the way, just thought I should mention.

thats just what this forum is like- dont expect people to take words like swag seriously.
This being TRShady, my response wont suprise you- I think that Marshall is better. I prefer his flow, his lyrics, and the beats that he uses. For some reason, the music in 'Brag Swag' (lol swag) creeps me out

That song came out in 2008, when the word swag was not overused. Don't judge a lyricist by the title of one song. Elzhi is from the same place as Em and has worked with Royce on a number of songs. Plus, just because you prefer someone over another artist doesn't necessarily make him or her better.

Right now, I'd rather listen to Elzhi. He's a great rhymer and at times he reminds me so much of Nas, "Elmatic" only reinforced this. However, Elzhi hasn't made an album nearly as good as Em's first three (yet) and he sticks way too close to his comfort zone in terms of sound. He sounds the same on practically every track.

Elzhi's good and he has the potential to get really good production, but he does sound way too similar on different and tends to focus on his scheme rather than making actual songs. He should have been featured in AOTY and let Black Milk stick to the production side, than he could potentially have had a great album.

Don't give up on the forum. Stick around! :flower:

Anyway, Eminem is my favorite rapper, so he's basically going to win (IMO) against any rapper you place him against. I'm just a Stan like that, I suppose. That's not to say Elzhi isn't a talented rapper. I'm not a big fan of what music of his I've heard personally, but I haven't listened to much. Again, this doesn't mean I don't recognize his talent. I'm also not a big fan of Nas, but I can see his talent and respect his impact and importance for hip hop music. I'll check out the songs you posted for sure.

Are you kidding me lol, on his album The Preface he had dope concepts on Guessing Game, DEMONS, Talking in my Sleep and a few others. And he doesn't sound the same on every track, he switches up his flow quite a lot on his Slum Village work, the leftovers and witness my growth.

Yeah, haha sure he is. No three albums EVER put out by a MC will ever surpass or come close to a few of Eminem's albums. Expand your Hip-Hop horizons, because what you are saying is a fallacy!
