looking forward to this album, that whoo kid list looks awesome, and it's on amazon so pretty legit I would think. Pretty upset that Joell or Crooked aren't on this but I like the track ideas/features regardless. Writer's Block was cool, that 1st song looks sick, and Yela is dope.

Some of it sounds better than the best of Street Hop, which is good.

But... almost every track sounds very similar to me musically. I know with an album the tracks should all mesh, so sounding similar to a degree is a good sign. But they all sound VERY similar to my ears, as if there's not much difference between each one. I can imagine it being a bit repetitive.

Excited nonetheless. As it seems he's picked wisely on quality, or simply wanted to make a more condense album, and with much less features.

I agree completely. That's why I said Merry Go Round sounds great. It's so much more upbeat and exciting.

And something that's bothering me is how My Own Planet is on here twice, remixed. The original is Royce ft. Porter, which I've had for ages. And then he's got Writer's Block and Legendary already out.

Just seems like there's not much material.

Yeah, Em produced "Merry Go Round" didn't he? don't know how some say he's a crap producer, I think he's awesome. And his tracks lately sound a bit more... complex and modern or... I dunno, just different.

As for what you said about there not being much material, I agree but I think the reason for that is probably... well, isn't Royce a free agent after this album? so in the back of his mind he probably just wants to get this album out of the way and then hopefully sign to Shady.

That's what it seems like anyway given the fact there are only 12 tracks, one of which is a remix and that they all sound very similar and mostly repetitive. He's probably saving all his juice for the future deal in his mind. Although, he's never been much of an 'ideas rapper' (stories, concepts, major statements) with songs to be honest.

I doubt he'd lie about that....The reason for lack of material, which I am pissed about (because compared to Success is Certain this is chode), is probably because he just got done with the Bad Meets Evil EP and he been working hard with Slaughterhouse? Idk, maybe he just caught up in twitter.
