Postby Steve Spag » Jul 24th, '11, 15:08

Back on that sicker quality shit, learning something new every day!
Anyways, I released this fucker last night. I actually wrote it quite awhile ago, at least half a year, but I FINALLY got around to recording it after forgetting about it, lol.

Dope verses. I didn't find the girl's voice annoying either. But I feel the chorus could have been better (lyrically).

I think the same thing for the girl's voice, the beat is very good, I liked the lyrics, I think that your flow is good, you could perhaps have done the chorus differently, I mean with your voice.

it's a good song :y:

This is actually quite good, though I've heard this beat used a number of times. Cryptic Wisdom did it the most justice. The hook has never bothered me. Your hook over the singing was well done. No comment on delivery and flow, I feel you have them on lock. My main problem with this is the quality of your vocals, and I know you record in a studio (at least I'm pretty sure; if not you work with a condenser mic at least) and the vocals sound very unclean and messy. Overlaying the verses contribute to this, but the general mixing just makes it sound fuzzy and unclear. I'm not much into mixing, so I can't really identify. I just know that you're not putting it to a full potential, er Kyle Spratt considering he mixed/mastered it. Overall, pretty great track. I enjoy this more than a lot of the stuff on Tastes Like Success tbh. Keep recording. :y:

The girl's voice doesn't bother me at all; I actually think it adds to the song. Nice verses! I like the beat too. Overall, a good song. Keep it up!

Overall it's a pretty good track. I enjoyed the beat, but as mentioned above, I've heard it multiple times which does take some spunk away from the song. The lyrics/flow were on point and enjoyable. I especially like your choice of phrasing, but generally speaking I always have. I haven't had the time (I've been spending most of my time in the hospital) to check out your EPs, but I'll get to them asap.

My only qualm is with the quality. Whoever is mixing this should find a more suitable job (outside of the studio, hopefully). If you mixed it, you need some practice and I'd be more than happy to shoot you some pointers. I'm not pro, but I've managed studio quality out of 200 dollar equipment.

Sorry for the lack of recent feedback. If it's any consolation, I haven't fed most people lately.

Your voice is perfect for the beat. Sounds majestic with this beat. Your delivery (which is basically the same) fits it beautifully.

As for the lyrics and content, really more of the same haha. Songs like this bore me so that's just me personally; if I was into songs about women i'd love it. But it is vague enough to still not require that from me for me to enjoy it, which is good. Some great lines in there though. Your imagery is always very good as well, keeps it from being just a song where you specifically talk about a person so that it takes on more meaning. And the rhymes were top notch as always. Nothing to say about the flow, it sounds very similiar to all your other songs but I still enjoyed listening to it so I can't really say shit.

Hook is exactly the kind of hook you should stick to doing, as opposed to the trying to sing n shit that I heard you doing on your EP. Cause no offense but you don't really have a singers' voice lol.

Enjoyable track. Would re-listen. But I do wish I could hear somethin different sometime haha.

Also, if you listened to TMA2 i'd like to hear your thoughts. And if you didn't, why? :zipped:

I'm feeling this
only thing that throws me off a bit is the mastering/mixing
but it doesn't bother me much cause it adds a "raw" feeling to the track

the verses were written & delivered very nice as well as the hook you did with the sample
there's nothing I can complain about :sweating:

nice job :b:

keep doing you

Is it really necessary to spam my facebook wall and my PM box?? please stop doing that man, its really annoying. if you just post in here I'll listen to it... but please dont do that anymore. at least to me.

I also disliked the chorrus, annoying voice haha... and man the "Sinima" tag takes too much away from the song. I loved the second verse, you went in really good and you actually changed your style, you didnt extended words there and spoke like a muppet lol... yeah the second verse is probably the best you've ever done, greatness... you need to get a better engineer or if you are doing the mixing, need to do it better.. check how the signal comes in to the desk and apply the proper effects on pro tools to avoid all that bassy and low level tone in the acapella.

great second verse... I didn't really liked the rest.

:y: :y:

Edit: actually, on the desk you are using, you can use the EQ's on there to fix up how the signal is coming in... if not, you can adjust it either on the Mix B or Pro Tools itself, but yeah, fix that stuff :y:

I liked it man. Unlike most people I enjoyed the chorus, but then again I've always enjoyed the sampled high pitch hooks. The verses were solid too and I thought the emotion in your voice was right on point.
