In my opinion these are the two best at receiving cash and accolades in the music industry for doing almost nothing other than them having a fitting image, thats not to say their not talented in some ways (or in Dres case release great music), Dre hes a great music engineer/mixer and has a good ear while Justin Beiber can play numerous instruments quite well. Dre has that gangster Compton image, Bieber is for the tween girls. We all know Dre doesn't write any of his own songs, Eminem and others do, and has a massive team producing beats 'with' him. Beiber is the same story, he gets beats from pop producers and The Dream writes alot of his stuff. The question is, who is the best at doing nothing but still receiving accolades and cash?

Dre isn't a good producer at all. He copies and pastes drum loops and sounds from predetermined packages. Doesn't anyone read the production notes on songs he supposedly produced? They all credit the instruments (keys, guitars, bass, even samples**, etc) to people he hires to play for him. The same goes for Eminem & Kanye.

Hire a keyboard player, purchase 20-30,000 dollar sound kits, buy a good drum machine, tell the keyboard player to play a bunch of catchy notes until you hear something you like, record it, change the sounds in Cubase with your sound kits (or VSTs), add drum loops = Profit.

I'm amazed that no one bothered responding to this. He basically shattered the universal "favorite producers" on this board (Eminem, Kanye, Dre) then took the shards and shoved it directly up our asses.

You need a bit more than this, I don't wanna take the type writing about though. If this were 100% right then there would be millions of Dres but theres not, Dres beats are still all waaaay above the average. Theres also tons of other things you don't touch on with what goes in the studio with mixing/stuff that we have no idea how it works.

Theres also the fact that Dre was an amazing producer before he got his money and room full of musicians.
