Mac Miller Appreciation Thread

Postby Malcom West » Jul 25th, '11, 03:14

What, is it a fad to hate on this dude now? He doesn't claim to be anything he's not. He makes good chill music. The dude works crazy hard, and is really a cool chill guy. Real grounded.

Almost every argument against him is that he has no substance. Some people don't like his voice, but many do. Joe Budden and Talib Kweli also have very polarizing voices, so let's not get all hung up on that.

I think most of the people who hate on party/weed rap probably just can't relate (don't get out much  ). Your loss, music doesn't have to be emotional/introspective to be enjoyed.

So, here's some dope Mac songs with substance/deeper meaning:

Yes, the majority of his songs are just feel good songs. So? Maybe I wanna listen tot hat type of music sometimes. And remember, kid's only 18. WTF you want him to talk about, he hasn't experienced much. He raps what he knows.

Let's do a classic TR derailment and turn this into the 3rd verse of Seduction by Eminem appreciation thread.

That verse molests cows in retrospect.

You try so pathetically hard to be funny on here, yet miss nearly every time.

Just because you don't like the dude, you're gonna try to mess up my thread? OK.

If I spammed a Hopsin or Rhyme Asylum thread or someone everyone here Stans, I'd probably be banned.

If you don't like him, just don't post. I enjoy his msuic and was hoping to share it/discuss it with others.
Another dope song:

Another reason I dig him: He really loves/respects 90s shit like ATCQ. You can def see the influence. I think some of ATCQ have cosigned him.

Seduction's 3rd verse is really hypnotizing. Definitely a showcase of Fire Marshall's greatness.

You try so pathetically hard to be funny on here, yet miss nearly every time.

And you, the 3rd verse of Seduction, go through obnoxious little endeavors to make threads and statements that are the exact opposite of something you just read on some hip-hop blog or forum somewhere only to get beat down and leave like a muddled bitch after a few rounds with someone who actually knows what they're talking about. Please. There's a difference between trying to be funny in your thread and brushing it off to show that few people care about your garbage opinion.

If you want me to be serious, I could point out the fallacious logic in multiples parts of your first post, but I don't think you want me to do that. You're just having fun, we don't want you to abandon this thread already, do we?

Just because you don't like the dude, you're gonna try to mess up my thread? OK.

Why would I "try", 3rd verse of Seduction? I didn't have a reason to "try" because this thread was complete shit to begin with, I know you wanted me to post here or else you wouldn't have immediately jumped into defending him in your OP. If I didn't "mess up" your thread, I guarantee you that you would have gotten (with high hopes) 3 replies in the first place, because Mac Miller is fucking trash and he has about 4 fans in this entire section.

If I spammed a Hopsin or Rhyme Asylum thread or someone everyone here Stans, I'd probably be banned.

No, you wouldn't be banned because you're an underrated Em verse and because only stuck up, puss-filled mongoloids who continuously push their luck get banned for spam, but everybody would look at you like an idiot for spamming the thread of an artist everyone likes so yeah, but that's ordinary. Are you stupid, do you not comprehend that or what is your point?

If you don't like him, just don't post.

Yeah, and you are in any position to be telling anybody this. You really are a stupid fucking verse, I wonder why I liked you in the first place.

I enjoy his msuic and was hoping to share it/discuss it with others.

Then why didn't you post it in the Mac Miller thread that was created under an hour ago? Oh wait, I know why, because you were expecting to get a reaction out of somebody with this thread, like always. You wanted a reaction, and here it is, get the cock out of your ass and take it.

Another dope song:

What the fuck was the point of posting that song when it plays out like the other ten songs we've heard from this imbecile with a few guitar strings thrown in?, shit song. You might as well stop posting. The sound of ass always sounds the same no matter how gigantic the douche producing it is.

Miller1121 wrote:On topic... How can it be a fad to hate on Mac Miller when he JUST got popular? If anything he's a fad himself just like 97% of every other artist to have a random hit in the past few years. What song is he known for anyway? I never even hear this guy outside of the internet.

I think he's just one of the go-to guys to hate on, that's all.

And he's known for his tapes, some of the most popular on Datpiff. Best Day Ever caused their servers to shut down. He's kinda like Curren$y, built up on mixtapes. He isn't a one hit wonder at all.

I get all my music from the internet TBH, I never watch MTV or listen to the radio.
The reason his stuff isn't sent to radio/tv is it usually has samples, which would be expensive to clear and approve.
