Any love for Mos Def?

Postby Malcom West » Jul 25th, '11, 03:52

One of my favorite hip hop voices. The original Kid Cudi. I been bumping The Ecstatic, so damn good.

Love this song. And Slick Rick's verse just blows my mind, there's nothing like his delivery

^ Same for me actually. At first he was one of those artists that gave me the same feeling that Em did and he clicked instantly, used to be in my top 6 but his rapping started feeling pretty monotone after a while. Still, Black Star remains one of my favorite albums ever and The Ecstatic is solid.

This is definitely in my top 20 hip-hop songs:

Other great tracks:

Black Star is really crafted very well i fkn love it and hell i might add that his popularity has decreased a lot to damn if i remember correctly he did a chypher with eminem and black thought in the recently held bet award and if you would have noticed there were less ohh and ahh's from the public as compared to the em and bt .

Yeah I hope so, I haven't heard anything. I'd love if he could get a lot of Kanye production going, every song they've done together has been fire.

Also, anyone know where I can hear his True Magic album? Ain't on iTunes or anything, is it good?

That would be a classic.

I agree, Drunk & Hot Girls, Don't Look Down, Good Night, Sunshine, Two Words & Lord Lord Lord. Every collab i can think of between Mos & Kanye has been incredible.
