Eminem loses record to Adele

Eminem achieved the record of crossing the one million mark of digital sales of Recovery. But he didnt have the record for long. Adele surpassed him and now holds the record in only 5 months while Eminem took almost a year to achieve it. That was kind of depressing. I mean Eminem deserved it. He worked really hard and went through alot to get to establish Recovery.

It's still an achievement for Em really. Plus, although Adele's album is good, a lot of people are buying it to make a sort of statement, to show what they stand for. If Adele looked like Katy Perry, and had a live singing voice like Katy Perry's, I doubt her album would've sold anywhere near as much.

Its not disappointing that his record has been surpased. If you look at music sales the digital market of albums is booming over physical copies which is in decline. Albums top the billboard with a larger share of digital sales compared to a year or two ago. Many albums in the future will overtake Recovery as the digital share continues to increase.

No complaints here, Adele is one of the few pop artists whos music isnt lifeless plastic production coupled with bad singing. Its funny cause when you look at the critical iTunes reviews its all Britney fans saying "This is soooooooooooooooooooooooo boring, how is this considered pop?" Its sad when people need a techno beat to keep their attention.

And also, to be fair, Adele does have some really boring songs. Even her remixes which use techo beats can be boring. Although most artists have boring songs, but still. I preferred Dido.
