Kanye West is no stranger to television. Whether he’s performing on awards shows, premiering thirty minute music videos or starring in animated series, Kanye is everywhere. With Watch The Throne only two days away, it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing (and hearing) a lot of Kanye for a long time.
As if releasing a highly anticipated collaboration album with Jay-Z wasn’t enough, news revealed today that Kanye will be appearing on FOX’s The Cleveland Show for a second time, joining music superstars Nicki Minaj, will.I.am, Bruno Mars and ?uestlove for an Illuminati themed episode.
“We have a rap Illuminati episode that’s going to be happening,” revealed Mike Henry, who voices Cleveland. “We have an episode where Kanye and will.i.am, playing himself, and Nicki Minaj, playing herself, and Bruno Mars, playing himself, and ?uestlove—they’re all part of the rap Illuminati, the secret group that controls pop culture.”
Not only are these superstars lending their voices for their characters themselves, but they’ll use them to create original songs as well.
“We have a couple of original songs with Kanye and will and Bruno, I mean, all of them, it was great,” says Rich Appel, Executive Producer for the show.
No date for the Illuminati episode has been announced, but the third season of The Cleveland Show is scheduled to premiere September 25 on FOX.
