tbh something lyrically simple as this cant be called classic in hip-hop

Gin & Juice
also any song wit Frank Ocean is a classic because he's god

Yeah Frank is dope...and chours is awesome...even The Dream did a nice job...beat is great...but verses? You cant go that simple if you want a classic. Just my opinion...since lyrics > overall sound, beat is how I judge rap songs...and lyrics fail to impress here...and throughout the whole album...I`m disappointed, even tho my hype died after HAM, but Otis was decent so I thought that theres a chance of a nice album...but no...I dont know whats with Kanye...he needs to go back to 05-07, and Jay-Z needs to retire(more then Eminem or even Dre...he sucks so much now days, its embarrassing to watch him ruin his legacy)

 you never heard most classic rap from the 80's

Some people start acting like Rap is a type of math. Some people just can't remember it's art.

You can make a work of art with only a few brush strokes, you can make a classic rap song with only a few rhymes.

Forum critics are the worst (good grief charlie brown)

Well, I'm thinking so far the album is pretty good in my own opinion, but I'm on Gotta Have It right now. I like it.

After one full listen, this album is pretty good. Honestly it's not as good as I hoped it would be but it's still better than HTS. There doesn't seem to be one track that specifically stands out as amazing... most of them just all seem to be consistently "pretty good-to-good".

Disclaimer: This opinion is subject to change upon further listens.

It amazes me that this kind of thing bothers people this much. "OMG da album I lyk doesnt have same attentionz as anova i dnt lyk".

What was so good about BME that meant it deserved some crazy attention, anyway? Nothing innovative about it.

Downloading this now. Expecting really interesting production (RZA!!) with shitty Kanye lyrics and average Jay lyrics. Expecting it to be more interesting than HTS.

I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

I don't even listen to Kanye or Jay, as in studio albums.....

lol? Are you fo`real? That was the way it was back then...everybody was simple most of the time...and they would all suck/do suck now days...Jay-z and Kanye are both modern day rappers...and they suck at it...and lets face it they fail artistically also...what is artistic about it? Without Frank this would be another bullshit song by two bullshit rappers(if Kanye is even considered a rapper now?) Please dont talk about something you know nothing about...You didnt even listen to the album :coffee: :tounge2:

Kanye's a pretty good rapper on this album though, like he's had a few punchlines that actually impressed me a bit. Can't remember them off the top of my head, but they're there.
