I remember seeing him on HBO or something when I was younger. Something about him then gave me the impression of an obnoxious w*gger but Block's topic inspired me.

He has so many quotables on and off the battle-field. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was his delivery, but otherwise, great artist. I just felt like sharing this with you birds, I dunno. Appreciate him. R.I.P.
I really haven't listened to Eyedea all that much, but I did recently listen to Smile, and that song is amazing. I planned on listening to more by him, so the songs you posted will definitely help me with that. Smile really connected with me, so I respect Eyedea if nothing else.

If you liked Smile you should check out Junk, Sky Diver, Burn Fetish, Spin Cycle, or just the By The Throat album as a whole. It was a great experimental, abstract record. I just wish it was a bit longer being the final E&A project.
Block wrote:"I can only build if I tear the walls down" << such an amazing line
How much of Oliver Hart have you listened to? I personally feel that most of his best stuff is from that Moniker.
Face Candy is also really good. He's done a lot of grunge shit that sounds incredible with the way he infused it with hip hop.
Also, look up "eyedea and friends" It's Eyedea, Kristoff Krane and a few other dudes having a freestyle sesh.. It's fucking amazingly dope.
Thanks man, I will. I really like Kristoff Krane but I still have yet to check out Face Candy lol.
As for Oliver Hart I wouldn't disagree man, the album was filled with classic Eyedea songs from top to bottom, among the ones I already posted:
Burn Fetish is my favorite song from him. Eyedea was very influential in the beginning of my listening to "underground" guys. He was the 2nd person I got into (Atmosphere was the 1st) And By the Throat was one of the 1st albums I ever bought. Had a very good sense of mixing that dark grungy feel with hip hop
"Red hand I use to reach deep in my dark quiver, Arrow so big the fuckin bones in ya arm splinter Fuckin crazy I'll stick my hand throgh ya hearts center, With sharp scissors the words Native Pride gets carved in her, "-Yah-hah

I don't really see the point in making a new topic for topics already made, so sorry if this is like a forum offense. Does anyone want to share their thoughts on his album with Abilties as Sixth Sense, when they were 14-16? I'm bumping it right now, and it's actually really good. I'm amazed at how talented the two were back at such a young age. It was recorded from '96-'98, and in technical terms like flow, delivery, multies, content, they were all dope. I can't believe how some lines are soo dope, especially considering he barely had much external influence since it's not like he had a computer and was able to search all over the internet and bump all these rappers.
I'm kinda pissed. I thought I was good until I started hearing rappers at my age. Fuck this.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Eyedea actually has a work ethic
No way, he must be half black.

^Yeah I noticed you've been listening to it over MSN. Good shit, I've found it much easier to get into than his other albums (excluding By The Throat) for some reason. Really well done regardless of his age.
