Mac Miller The Next Eminem?

Postby EyeSpick » Aug 19th, '11, 01:13

This thread is for hip-hop heads, NOT underground fan boys. Mac is easily the best white rapper since Em. Being the best doesn't mean multi syllable rhyme overload and obscene/stupid/pseudo-deep concepts. No, it means fans. The amount of people that can relate to your music defines you. End of story. So is he the next Eminem? If not then when will we see another white rapper who's decent? It's been a decade plus since Shady's debut. Some people are growing impatient.

You guys keep getting... Nvm.

On a serious note, even though this thread isn't serious, Asher sounds SO much better than this kid. His delivery/voice, rhyme scheme, subject matter.. Everything. Not to mentioned his cosigns are actually legit.

Anyone who doesn't think Asher is dope needs to listen to his Greenhouse mixtapes.

This.
There is no "next Eminem". There's only ONE, and there will never be another Slim Shady, people can try to be like him, but they will never generate the same shock value, wit, humor, Em did in his career.

Exactly. If Mac wasnt white nobody would EVER put him and Eminem in the same sentence. Its getting very annoying and Mac will be gone within a year.

The fact they rap about the same stuff doesn't have anything to do with it :facepalm2

^ Mac Miller raps about how much of a bitch his mom was, and his troubles with the government, spewing hate towards President George W. Bush? OH! Don't tell me, Miller ALSO had a drug problem and ended up on his bathroom floor overdosing? And was only 2 hours away from death?!

Gee, I guess Miller could be the next Eminem..

I am sick of these speculations ,"he is the next this ,he is the next that ",fuck this bullshit ,if this dude has so much of a talent then he should try and be a better artist than Eminem and not like him .

I would rather sign a sack of rocks to my label (Not that I have one) than Mac. The guys dead weight, and unfortunately the rocks perform that job better than even Mac. He has stupid ideas and he executes them all so terribely. Yelawolf can make a song ABOUT HIS FREAKING BOX CHEVY GOOD with an interesting flow, story telling, and funny lines. Most of Macs disography is gimmicky songs and I have yet to hear one thats done properly. Its like he thinks rapping about stuff that others don't usually rap about (For VERY obvious reasons) makes the song good, but the songs never go anywhere + theres the fact that his delivery sounds lazier than Puffy Daddy, he barely can stay on beat, his rhymes suck, his songs are wack. Though it seems hes blessed with a fanbase of mindless hipsters, he'll probably be signed and do some numbers on a wack release thats slightly better than the average Soulja Boy album.
