Go listen to this and then try and tell me Wonderwall is their best song. Also nothing infurirates me like people that baldly just claim to like a band because they have heard one popular song by them.

Even if I don't listen to Champagne Supernova, I wouldn't have told you Wonderwall is their best song. When I quoted Trimss I more so meant that it's one of my favourite songs if I had a top 50 or whatever. But I am listening to Champagne Supernova and it is also really good.

Every faggot who thinks he's Kurt Cobain can play it and act like he's deep by singing "Maybehhhhhhhhh" and that's apparently all it takes. The song is just colour-by-numbers popular songwriting. Wonderwall is basically Oasis's "Not Afraid"

Most of Oasis's songs are love songs, but the others have have something interesting about them. And they have songs that actually mean something. Stuff like Champagne Supernova and Live Forever is criminally underrated in favour of sickly-sweet crooning.

there are many things that I'd like to say to you...

Kez , champagne supernova is a known song too, not so much as wanderwall obviously , but its a known song. All the songs from "(whats the story) morning glory?" are great.

No. It's a sentimental value, that means that song was playing during a certain moment with a certain person in your life, and everytime you hear the song, it reminds you of it. That's why it makes it better you know? It's not about who can sing it, how hard it is to play it or whatever. It's about nostalgia.

kez is spot on here, thats why i posted little by little and not the all so predictible wonderwall. Wonderwalls a great song and all but it sickens my pish that a band of the calibre of oasis is only really associated with one great song. When in fact, they have 6 or 7 that are much better:

dont look back in anger
champagne supernova
little by little
stand by me
supersonic
the masterplan. etc...

You dont see people associating eminem with just 'stan' and even bon jovi with living on a prayer, thats what fucks me off !

There a great band and deserve a lot more respect, especially abroad. i.e ameirca.

Terrific band. Live Forever and Don't Look Back In Anger are their best, imo. But they have so many great tunes.

After hearing for years what huge assholes the brothers were, I just avoiding them completely. I would rather listen to all the other great British bands

I heard Wonderwall, and I'm gonna leave it at that.

Yeah well it was mainly Liam that was the problem...

But yeah, amazing band, created some truly legendary music.

They were obsessed with Beatles, but songs like "Live Forever" and "Champagne Supernova" are sublime, and timeless.

That seems a bit odd lmao.

To deprive yourself of potentially, possibly one of your musical enlightening s just because you've heard two of the band members are assholes?

I mean, they are, they're cocks. But, that's them, not the music.

Liam is a dick, but he still belts out the choruses to some legendary rock tunes.

I love Mos Def for example, and particularly his Black on Both Sides album. And I listen and enjoy it even though he's a blatantly racist, misguided idiot. But that doesn't change the fact that the music, lyricism, flows and ideas are brilliant. And enjoyable.
