Did you read the article. It says Lil Wayne sold about 310 000 first week digtal, while Watch The Throne sold 300 000.
Now don't get me wrong but that's the real sales ratio between the two. So about 500 000 for WTT and about 650 000 for the Carter IV. The rest is that cunt Birdman.
Looking forward for the second week drop gay boyzzzz. There's now way It can sell more than Recovery which is about 350 000.

Drops of 70% aren't really that rare. Especially if you include albums which don't get to #1. Usually a huge drop like that means the album has little appeal outside of the artist's fanbase and/or it's not getting promoted enough.
