Eminem as a Producer= Underrated

Postby Wreck » Sep 15th, '11, 18:28

Not looking at the raps on some of these songs listed either, just the beats.

-The Way I Am (even though I really think the Bass Brothers produced it & credited him)
-The Cross (decent)
-Cleanin Out My Closet
-White America
-Sing For The Moment (excellent)
-Til I Collapse
-Lose Yourself
-8 Mile Road
-Moment of Clarity
-Runnin (Dyin To Live)
-My Buddy
-Like Toy Soldiers
-Beautiful

Those are just some of the notable songs by him/other artists with good beats, there are way more that I like, that would take too long to list.

Thoughts on his beats/production?

I love Em's beats. It's upsetting when people think he's a bad producer because he was so good of a rapper that he was never really known for producing. TES has some absolutely fantastic beats on it. And Pistol Pistol's beat. :worship:

Im a member on a 2Pac forum aswell and all the fans on that despise Em for fucking up Loyal 2 The Game.

Ghetto Gospel was immence though, Em's greatest example of production and mixing id say! :y:

I doubt Em produced all of Lose Yourself too

But wasn't there this thing with DJ Head? Head said he produced it but Em said he produced it himself? Or did I dream this

He didn't. It wasn't him who came up with that famous guitar line, that pretty much makes this beat.

And I don't think he's underrated as a producer.

Nah, DJ Fellatio produced it, not Em.

Ok well, then I'll exclude that from his list of production credits. Idk who produced Lose Yourself then, anyone know?

I bet Dre didn't.

Not that small I would say.

Neptunes

Em had head production credits, and the Bass Bros came up with the guitar riff, and I think Luis Resto had something to do it as well. But Dre gave Em the credit for producing it, he said something along the lines of "Em's gotten so good at producing that he won an Oscar for producing Lose Yourself."

I HAVE heard most of those people and they're better than Em, I just think he's a great producer.
