Rap icon Eminem is putting key items of his career memorabilia on display in New York for one day only.
The Not Afraid hitmaker is giving fans the chance to get up close to historic pieces from his early years in the music industry, including the trench coat he wore on the cover of 2000's The Marshall Mathers LP, the suit and mic stand from the album artwork for The Eminem Show in 2002, and the denim dungarees, hockey mask and chainsaw he often donned to perform the track The Real Slim Shady.
The 'Missing' milk carton featuring a photo of his mentor Dr. Dre from the song's video is also included in the exhibition, in addition to a signed script from his semi-autobiographical movie 8 Mile.
But the exhibition isn't all about Eminem - pieces of memorabilia from other artists on his Shady Records label will also be shown to the public for the first and only time ever.
The display will include photos of the hip-hop superstar with his late best friend, Proof, and platinum record plaques from their band D12, while rap group Slaughterhouse and solo MC Yelawolf will have pictures, custom artwork and other items on show too.
The exhibit will be housed in the Brisk Bodega pop-up store in Manhattan's West Village on Saturday (17Sep11) from 11am to 5pm, while the space will be closed to the public in the evening for a private performance by Shady Records' newest artists, Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse.
