Based on his current mainstream material, I wouldn't consider him hip hop, mainly because he doesn't rap on hip hop beats. On the Floor and Give Me Everything have dance-pop beats. RedOne and Afrojack aren't hip hop producers.

Maybe some of his older songs are hip hop, I don't know. Even if he did rap on hip hop beats in the past, I doubt he's a very good rapper. I mean, in Give Me Everything he rhymed "Kodak" with "Kodak". :confusion:

Some of his songs can be good, for like parties and stuff, but I wouldn't say they're hip hop. More like electropop at the moment.

People on this site sleep on Pitbull, but he's actually dope as fuck. I don't get it lol. Probably the same way people didn't like Rhyme Asylum. But yeah, he's great.

Really? Putting his electro-synth beats aside, I think lyrically he's below average aswell. He seems to repeat a lot of his rhymes all the time aswell, and there's a lot of his songs where he speaks all the way through, but then at the end of the song you realize he hasn't actually said anything.

I think he does so well commercially because there's not many rappers doing what he does (only Flo Rida really), and I think the nature with party songs is that people don't really care about the actual lyrics, they just listen to his flow.

You just can't appreciate his level of music.

IDC about pitybullshit but mentioning him in the same line as RA is an insult to every Hip Hop fan .RA are on a whole different level of dopeness and they can never be touched. He is an disgrace to the whole Hip Hop community ,only thing that hold him in the public eye is that he makes some clubish songs .

I fucking think he's annoying - he's got some foreign accent which makes his 'rapping' sometimes incomprehensible & most of the time irritating.

But he's pretty popular worldwide because of his party hits & collabs with other popular artists..

I get pissed when he's nominated for Best Hip-Hop at award shows.. he ain't hip-hop...

A lot of the links/pics I've posted in the last year or so, if they're dead, there is a probability that I have archived it on Archive.today.
