Oh for sure. 50 is way more redundant than Jay.
As much as I bag on Jay - he is still a good rapper when he wants to be and his best material is still very good. And he can do different things.
50 is rapping about the same stuff he did when he came out, he's one of the least creative rappers in history, in every aspect.
Years ago when I was younger I used to be a big fan of him . But now looking back...I don't know what the heck was I thinking. You know how you look back on certain things in your life that you used to enjoy and be a fan of and feel embarrased? That is exactly how I feel about 50.
As for Jay I love his music a lot more. But his biggest flaw has got to be how sometimes he starts feeling himself WAYY too much and thinks he is the shit. With that annoying stiff upper lip thing that he does. I love his music cause like you said he is very good.....
Its just that he is one of those rappers that have soooooooo much MORE potential, but never reach it because in their mind They are already the "best". Imagine how much better he would be if he stopped the "I'm the shit, and don't want to spend too much energy straining my voice...so ill just act like I'm not trying" flows.
As for 50 I think he would honestly be better in some position in business. Whether that business is in hip hop or outside of hip hop. I see a lot of his interviews and he seems like he is very intelligent. But then the next second you hear a song by him and he sounds like the stereotypical "gangster rapper" that ignorant and foolish parents complain about.
I'm trying to imagine him as President of Def Jam...hmmmm....
