Did you see that video of him covering the first verse of Lose Yourself at one of his shows? Worse than Taylor Swift. Most of the people on this forum could do it better, maybe even Mahmoud.
And also, his chances of remaining successful are a lot higher in that cross-genre pop music he's doing so I doubt he'll quit that anytime soon.
Very true. Maybe he's trying to pull a Chris Brown and experiment?
He by default has a pretty boy Image ,this will hamper him as far as being taken serious is concerned.
I agree. The image he has now, and the amount of people that hate him, means that even in the shocking occurance that he did turn out to be a good rapper, I think it would be difficult for him to be accepted.
It reminds me a bit of back when Britney Spears did a couple of RnB songs. They really weren't that bad imo, but I think the fact that she was Britney Spears, "princess of pop", etc. meant she didn't get played on urban radio, etc. I think it would be a similar thing here with Justin.
I feel a bit bad for Justin really. I know this sounds silly, but in a few years he'll probably look back at the songs he did and regret it so much.
