So everyone knows the ear thing was Van Gogh, and that got me thinking...are the other two things something some famous person did? If anybody knows, that'd be awesome.

Well I already knew about the ear part, that was the whole reason I asked bout the rest of the lines. I mentioned Van Gogh in the original post.

Maybe the elephant tusk line is a reference to Michael Jackson. Supposedly, he bought the Elephant Man's bones.

Those two lines always sounded too sad, sincere and sinister for just a song (whoa, see the consonance here?); they had to be a reference to something in real-life.

Elephants were widely used across the Indian subcontinent and south-east Asia as a method of execution.
