Watch The Throne” Sales Reach 1 Million

It took their premiere effort nearly three-months to do so, but the collaboration LP Watch The Throne between Kanye West and Jay-Z has sold itself to platinum status, marking the sale of one million albums. The two are no strangers to platinum plaques as both of their most recent solo releases have achieved that status. Still sitting in the American album sales Top 20 list, Watch The Throne has been the second highest selling rap album of 2011, eclipsed only by Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV.

‘Ye and Jay will not have much time to bask in the accomplishment as they hit the stage tonight in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Centre, continuing their Watch The Throne tour.Perhaps they will throw a shout out during “Gotta Have It”, they “planking on a million.”
