According to TMZ (http://www.tmz.com/2011/11/08/heavy-d-dead/), Hip-Hop pioneer Heavy D has passed away. He was 44. Earlier today, he was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead at 1 P.M. So far, no cause of death. D was seen last month performing (http://www.bet.com/video/hiphopawards/2 ... yd-s1.html) at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. Rest In Peace to The Overweight Lover.

No, he did some old school music back in the day that got a lot of play, and evidently he kept performing until he died. Sounds like a guy living the dream. Maybe that's what makes him special the most.

Had one of the best flows in the early nineties/late eighties. But seriously, put some of his shit on in the car its fucking dope. He even got featured on an MJ song.
