I was gonna name OB4CL, then Supreme Clientelle, then Hell Hath No Fury, and then a whole flurry of albums came to mind, but this would be mine;



Why? Everything about this album was perfect for me: from the first time I heard Power, to coming home pissed drunk on a Friday night to see if the latest GOOD Friday track was released, and if it wasn't, when I woke up on the Saturday that would be my hangover cure.

Then Runaway dropped with around 20 different variations of it, and that 30 minute Runaway movie? Jesus, I was never so hyped about an album release in my life after hearing the snippets of the unreleased tracks from that!

Then the whole build up to the leak, and when it did finally leak, it was the fuckin' clean version! And I still played the fuck out of it.

As for the album itself, what can I say? It will rightly go down as one of the best albums of this decade, and in time, on an all time scale.

Everybody has THEIR album, something that connects with them for whatever reason, something that helped them get through a difficult period, something that they genuinely feel priviledged to have heard, and this album is mine

Mine is Stillmatic.



I realize this album isn't Nas' best, but IMO it had the most potential.

The album gets off to the strongest start I have ever heard, and continues in the same fashion up until Destroy & Rebuild (which I like, but feel like it doesn't live up to the tracks before it).

A few fixes here and there, & this album could have been THEE album.
