It sucked because it was completely off the top... When Eminem went completely off the top we got that Mellow Jello Fellow freestyle. It's very very rare to find a rapper who's good completely off the top.

Doubt it was off the top as Yela said that he can't do off-the-top and he didn't grow up in a battle scene and never practised that element of it.

He said he only raps if people let him know before hand, then he'll prepare something.

Which is why this is shockingly bad... Yela is the only rapper I've heard who can be as shit as he can amazing. He's like, hit and miss, especially lately.

Some of this does seem to be genuinely on the spot though. But maybe he intentionally wrote it to sound off-the-top so that it looked more impressive to be, well, on the spot.
